AFTER READING THE INTRODUCTION SCROLL DOWN FOR YOUR PERSONAL HOROSCOPE

August opens with Venus in Cancer opposite Pluto in Capricorn. Some of us will behave unreasonably making those close to us evaluate the relationship. Those who are extra egocentric may consider stepping out and acting dishonestly while those who have good sense will use this aspect to deepen the quality of their relationships. Whatever your situation Know that your intense feelings will pass after just a few days so do not inflict damage that is beyond repair.

The Full Moon lunar eclipse August 5 is at thirteen degrees Aquarius. Since this eclipse occurs in Aquarius we can all expect to be surprised by world events that bring us together in the weeks before and after this event. Remember that an eclipse occurred at this position and same day in 1971. On August 15 of that year Richard Nixon took the US off the gold standard and on August 18, 1971 Australia and New Zealand decided to withdraw their troops from Viet Nam.

An eclipse occurred on August 5, 1990 at the same position. Two days before that Iraq invaded Kuwait and on August 10 the Magellan space probe reached Venus. Another powerful event in the weeks around this eclipse was August 23, 1990 when East and West Germany announced they would reunite the following October 3rd.

Needless to say this lunar eclipse has the power to transform the way we all relate to the rest of our world. Hang on because the summer is just about to get hotter.

Mars in Gemini will be ninety degrees from Saturn in Virgo August 10. We will begin to feel this aspect around August 6 and through the week of August 10. Mars is action and assertion while Saturn is restriction. Somewhere in our lives we are sure to feel like we are caught between a rock in a hard place. This might feel similar to that stuck feeling many of us experienced during the first ten days of July. Go back to the drawing board and redesign your path to find a better way to achieve your goals. Otherwise, wait out the low tide and know that stuck is not a permanent state of being.

In addition Mars in Gemini will be trine the conjunction of Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius from August 10 to 18. At the same time Mars will be square Uranus and the Sun in Leo will be sixty degrees from Mars. Plus the Sun is opposite the trio of Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune. Our energy and enthusiasm for change is over the top. All of us will demand something better in our lives; whether that is the “health care system” or any other fair shake we deserve from our partners in life. Surprising events now are sure to shape our future, but not without a lot of opposition. Since Mercury will be conjunct Saturn we can expect a lot of division and doors slamming. There will be a lot of mumbo jumbo to sort through and the economic elite fear mongers attempt to confuse us thus delaying change. However, the drama and threats are just not as bad as they seem as progress always prevails.

During the final six days of August Mars enters Cancer and opposes Pluto while Mercury enters Libra passing halfway between Mars and Pluto. This is called a t-square and since the three planets involved are in a cardinal sign it is a cardinal t-square. This one is particularly intense and factions in our lives jockey for power and position. Some of us will not be able to use honesty in our dealings out of fear and control. The rest of us will have to beware of those who wish to bully and meddle. Since Mercury will be sixty degrees from Venus August 28 try to say something nice in this intense time. Some people’s disloyalty will make it tough to recognize we are one. Thus, August ends with an even bigger bang than it began. Use caution during the last six days but do not fear stepping into a new endeavor.

August 2
Mercury enters Virgo until August 25. While Mercury moves through Virgo our thoughts will turn to our diets and nutrition. Issues about the food supply and grocers are sure to be in the news. Our concern with charity and good works for the needy are sure to be in the debate around revamping the health care system as well as the general health of the public. These days are sure to be active in a positive way for Virgo, Taurus, and Capricorn. Distracting paperwork and details addles Gemini, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

August 3
Mercury now in Virgo is one hundred twenty degrees from Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. Talk is far from cheap now as communications are of a serious nature. Those born in the early days of Virgo, Capricorn, and Taurus can dwell in the knowingness that all will ultimately be well no matter what the current situation appears to be.

August 7
Mercury is sixty degrees from Venus in Cancer. Heartfelt words are easily expressed though that is not to say they will be well received. Take your time with your words so no one will misconstrue your meaning. Get away for a brief recess.

August 19
Venus still in Cancer is sixty degrees from Saturn in Virgo. This is a great time to get together with friends and loved ones to talk out differences or expectations. It will be easy to work out any differences especially if you are dealing with someone who is not of your same age group.

August 20
The new Moon occurs in Leo at 5:02 am CDT and then goes void until 9:00 am. Hold off on those new Moon beginnings until after 9:00 am CDT. Since this particular new Moon is in Leo you will want to make wishes and plans regarding anything that pertains to Leo. That includes self-expression, sports, games, and any sort of speculation.

August 21
Mercury in Virgo is opposite Uranus in Pisces. All are warned to watch their words as you may regret any communication that is done so with any sort of malice. Instead discover new ideas and do be prepared for sudden schedule changes.

August 22
Venus is one hundred twenty degrees from Uranus in Pisces. New and different sorts of people come and go in our lives today. Chance meetings happen but don’t get too excited as these people are not here to stay.

The Sun enters Virgo until September 22. Virgo is at a yearly peak and more attuned than usual to the details of life that need to be fixed. Likewise, the rest of us are aware of matters that are minute but hold promise for success or big obstacles. While the Sun transits Virgo make an effort to eat more nutritious food.

August 23
The Sun in Virgo is one hundred twenty degrees from Pluto in Capricorn. Virgo and Capricorn are especially aware of changes they need to make in their lives. Any, well thought out, adjustments we all make are auspicious and positive for our well-being.

August 26
Venus enters Leo until September 20. Leo is an expressive and affectionate sign so we can expect heartfelt emotions and sentimental gifts and words. Lions are looking terrific while fellow fire signs Aries and Sagittarius have luck and good looks. Leo’s fellow fixed signs Scorpio, Aquarius, and Taurus are a bit out of whack as hormones run wild in the wrong direction.

Leo, Jul 23 - Aug 22,
The eclipse August 5 brings closure to more than one situation. Some lions will close important deals over the next several months while others will slam the door on relationships that are no longer to Leos’ advantage. This is partly due to the fact that you are reviewing your priorities and values. Abrupt incidents trigger you to make final decisions and over the course of the next several years Leo is taking steps to remake your reality.
