Jupiter, retrograde in Aquarius since June 15, moves forward October 12. Jupiter is the planet of adventure, expansion, optimism, and philosophy. While he was retrograde many of us felt like our hopes and dreams were stalled. We have known in our minds and hearts what we want to accomplish but misinformation along with those who have a greedy agenda have tried to put us off course. Many of us have questioned our own philosophy as well as other peoples’ viewpoints. In more than one instance we have had to come to terms with the reality that what some people do and say are not represented with honesty. Once Jupiter goes direct, many areas of our lives will open up to the innovation that has been staring us in the face. Aquarius and those who are Aquarius rising at last feel the doors of life reopen. Those of us born in the latter half of any sign are most affected by Jupiter’s blessings through January 17, 2010.

Mars enters Leo October 16 through June 7, 2010. This extra long transit through Leo is because Mars goes retrograde December 20 through March 10, 2010. In the days until December 20 Leo is extra assertive and expressive. Many Lions, including President Obama, will be pushing their agenda with an extra punch. During October 16 -31 Scorpio and Taurus born during the first seven days of those signs will feel extra impulsive and in some cases irritated. At the same time Aquarius born the first seven days of that sign are sure to experience opposition to their innovative ideas. During any Mars experience we can get so much accomplished, but we must temper our actions with more good sense much less ego.

One of the biggest astrological news items of October is that Saturn enters Libra October 29 at 12:09 pm CDT. This is the first time Saturn has entered this sign since last leaving Libra August 24, 1983. Libra rules relationships: the good, the bad, and the ugly ones. While Saturn moves through Libra, we will all be redefining some relationship or pact somewhere in our lives. We can expect a redefinition of treaties around the world along with new boundaries for marriage laws. We will come to understand the weak spots in our economy, our relationships, and ourselves. Don’t get all worried because Saturn could not be in a better sign than in Libra.

Saturn will move up to the fourth degree of Libra and go retrograde next January 13. He backs into Virgo for one last swipe at Virgo, April 7,2010 – July 21, 2010. From July 2010 –October 6, 2012 Saturn will be redefining the lives of Libra. This will probably be a bit tough for those Librans born after August 1983 but all will come to a new sense of their identity, as Saturn demands Libra to grow-up and mature.

Saturn will transit Libra the last few days of October through February 2010. During this time Saturn will be square Pluto and Pluto will be opposite Venus in the Sibley chart of the United States. This is a tough combination between these two strong planets. We should all be prepared to experience some eventful doozies.

Remember, that Saturn was opposite Pluto in September 2001 and we all know what happened then. Squares can be harsher than oppositions, so we can expect various factions to be upset with the status quo. A demand for change is about, but some of us are resisting the changes that others want both in our personal lives and on the larger stage of he world. Use caution in the days ahead especially if you are born in the first few days of any sign. Pay attention and stay away from scary crazy people. Make plans for emergencies including setting your finances in order. This information sounds ominous but don’t get all scared. Just use common sense and listen to your instincts. Most of us will be changing our minds about what we really need materially.

October 4 - The full Moon occurs at eleven degrees Aries at 1:10 am CDT. Since this full Moon is the closest one to the autumnal equinox it rises sooner after sunset than usual, thus allowing extra light for the day. In times when our culture was based on agriculture it gave field hands more time to harvest and work in the fields. Hence the harvest Moon label. This particular full Moon in Aries is sure to arouse impatience and a bit of irritability for many of us. The aspect prior to the full Moon is the Moon square Pluto that will cause many of us to have intense emotions and power struggles. Put emotions aside and use the full Moon intensity to work diligently. Pulling weeds in the garden is therapeutic and they most likely will not return.

Adding to the intense emotions of this full Moon is Mercury in Virgo sixty degrees from Mars in Cancer. Plus Mars is one hundred twenty degrees from Uranus. This is a great time for stepping out of the routine but we must all use good sense when we open our mouth to speak. Use tact when making any point.

October 7 - Mercury is conjunct Saturn in Virgo. News may not be good because someone is saying goodbye. Gemini, Sagittarius, and Pisces will want to sweat the small stuff. If you feel stuck in the box, look for the silver lining. It is there.

October 9 - Venus in Virgo is opposite Uranus in Pisces. Expect the unexpected where current relationships are concerned. People that enter your life today are sure to be just as exciting as they are temporary.

Mercury enters Libra until October 28. Our thoughts now turn to our relationships. Remember that Mercury went retrograde in Libra on September 6 compelling us to reevaluate our associations. In five days we will be out of the shadow of Mercury retrograde and all those goofy relationship challenges will begin to completely vanish.

October 10 - The Sun in Libra is one hundred twenty degrees from Jupiter about to go forward. This is a great day to be an adventurer especially if you are Libra, Gemini, or Aquarius. Since Mercury is square Pluto many of us will want to explore the deeper subjects and the mysteries of life. There will be those who want to influence outcomes for personal gain. Check the facts before taking action.

October 12 - Mars in Cancer is sixty degrees from Saturn in Virgo. Mars is action but Saturn requires a plan. Use patience and methodical actions to make any project a masterpiece.

October 13 - Venus in Virgo is conjunct Saturn and sextile Mars in Cancer. This push pull energy has many of us wanting to make a decision or take action. However, there seems to be a feeling of uncertainty. If you don’t know which decision to make, just sit still for a day or two.

October 14 - Venus enters Libra until November 7. This has us concerned with love and bonding. However, tomorrow Venus squares Pluto, in Capricorn, which will force us to be very serious about our feelings. Many of us have to look at what needs to be changed in our relationships over the next several days. Capricorn, Libra, Aries and Cancer are especially concerned over the status of their alliances.

October 16 - The Sun in Libra is one hundred twenty degrees from Neptune retrograde in Aquarius. Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini are especially sensitive and psychic. Leave the mundane details alone for a couple of days and focus on spiritual matters. If you feel confused just go with it and do not try to make sense of that which is hard to understand.

October 18 - The new Moon occurs in Libra 12:33 am CDT and immediately goes void until 9:23 am CDT. Now is the time to get stuff started before the next full Moon November 2. Since this new Moon occurs in Libra we do well to explore our desire for companionship and marriage. Legal matters such as lawsuits and business partnerships can be started or finalized. Even though most of us are on a budget it is time to get a fashion fix. However, hang out in limbo until 9:23 am CDT so you do not get surprising or unwanted results on any enterprise.

October 20 - Mercury in Libra is one hundred twenty degrees from Jupiter in Aquarius. Business transactions go well. Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini are especially sharp so let them handle both the big picture and the small details.

October 22- The Sun enters Scorpio until November 21. This is one of Scorpios’ peak times of the year. Opposite sign Taurus is a bit low while Aquarius and Leo are stressed by a subtle feeling that all is not well. While the Sun transits Scorpio we will be hearing more about diseases including the H1N1 virus along with issues surrounding the insurance industry. October 24 - The Sun in Scorpio is sixty degrees from Pluto in Capricorn. Today is a great day for making transformative changes. Take a yoga class or spend the day in solitude. Since Mercury in Libra is one hundred twenty degrees from Neptune in Aquarius wait until tomorrow to handle practical matters.

October 28 - Mercury enters Scorpio until November 15. Just as Mercury makes this entrance he is sextile Pluto in Capricorn. The news is full of surprises as stuff that has been withheld comes into the light of day. Use diligence when sitting on any secret or your information is sure to be discovered. Venus now in Libra, is one hundred twenty degrees from Jupiter in Aquarius. This easy aspect adds a happy mood to the latter part of the day. Socialize and see friends in order to take you mind off the heaviness of the world.

October 29 - The Sun in Scorpio is ninety degrees from Mars in Leo. Many of us are feeling intense emotions and want to react with force. Get into some strong physical activity to release tension but do use caution to avoid accidents. Scorpio and Leo are most agitated. 

                Libra, Sep 23 - Oct 22

Libra is working diligently to achieve career goals. Those natives born October 15 and after are especially activated to score big but must avoid rash moves that create opposition from bosses. Get to the bottom of details and problems around October 10. If you have a secret it will be tough to conceal October 10 -16. There will be times when you feel like your cohorts think you are just around to do their bidding. Librans born around September 22 are pushed to their limit, but all are wise to dig in and accept the challenges that life delivers now.
